Considering the Raleigh area? We have mild weather year- round, low rolling hills, beautiful woodlands and a melting pot of folks NC born and transplants from all over the world. It's only 2 hours to the Atlantic seashore and 4 hours to the Appalachian mountains from here! A surge in downtown construction and the diverse population has given this once sleepy southern city a new face and it's fun...there is a lot to do here! From soccer to blues clubs - we have it all. In the center of eastern NC are three well-known cities: Raleigh, Durham, & Chapel Hill which we locals call "the Triangle". Three uniquely different townships bound together by tradition, famous "school rivalries" and cutting-edge corporate presence such as IBM, Cisco, and SAS Institute. Click here: RTP and read about the region's accomplishment in the development of the "Research Triangle Park". Home to over 135 corporations employing 35,000 workers the RTP continues to attract new venture capital in soft and hard science research as well as development and implementation . The real estate market here has faired well in tough times...FHA eligible housing sells in an average of 88 days in homes under $200K and 121 days in homes $200K-$400K in the last 180 days. Some areas are sluggish - especially were competition from new construction draws interest with the many extras available that private sellers can't always match. Great parks, universities, professional sports teams and college ball, manicured golf communities, art & culture as well as international cuisine bring an urban feel to this still "small-town" community. Give me a call for up-to-date sales and market data for the neighborhoods that interest you...are you moving up, moving on or just want a change? - we have them all...urban, suburban, golf, and retirement homes. We even have rural communities nearby that qualify for USDA loans and other programs for first-time home buyer. |
